We are extremely grateful to have been selected by Go Overseas as one of the Overall Top Study Abroad Providers of 2021 in their annual Community Choice Awards.
This award is given to Study Abroad providers who excel at offering students an unforgettable study abroad experience. This is a merit-based award and is completely reliant on the reviews left by the students and the faculty on the Go Overseas platform. As part of the selection, they consider the five categories that students use to rate our service, namely: Academics, Support, Fun, Housing, and Safety.
2021 presented many challenges for Study Abroad programs in the field. It was a year that necessitated resilience, and a year where we continued to push the boundaries of what can be achieved virtually through the development of our Intercultural Competence program and Co-investigation Clusters. We are grateful for the growth, lessons learned and the new relationships built.
We are extremely proud of our amazing team in South Africa, Kenya, Tanzania, and Zimbabwe who continues to live out our values of Innovation, Collaboration, Friendliness, Stewardship, and Learning in everything that is tackled.
Our ultimate goal remains for all our participants to experience holistic transformation during their time in Africa and that they will become global agents of that change.
In this vein, we are running two incredible in-country Individual Study Abroad programs in East Africa in 2022, namely:
Community Public Health in Tanzania | 24 July – 21 August 2022
Ecology and Conservation in Kenya | 3 -30 July 2022
A big ‘Thank You’ to Go Overseas, to the winners of this year’s awards, to our colleagues in the field who continue to innovate and create opportunities for students, and to our brilliant team. More importantly, we would like to thank each one of the participants who have been on one of our Transformative Learning Journeys. You are the reason we continue to do what we do. Thank you!
