Participants will have the opportunity to discover vibrant coral reefs, mangrove forests, and seagrass beds through hands-on fieldwork, interactive discussions, and visits to marine protected areas.
The aim is to help students understand the importance of preserving these vital ecosystems and to consider the challenges of overfishing, pollution, and climate change. Participants will also learn about innovative conservation strategies, such as the use of marine protected areas, community-based initiatives, and sustainable fishing practices. By engaging with marine conservation issues, participants will develop a deeper understanding of the interconnectedness of humans with the ocean and will be prompted to consider their roles in marine conservation and environmental stewardship.
